Good Values!

A value driven life is a purpose driven life, values run deeper than water, becoming conscious of what really matters to you in life can help you navigate the sometimes choppy seas. Values vary from one individual to another so you might want to work on your own list as you read through this. Here are some basic values that all or most will have in common.

Family.

Family values are so important we wouldn't have a word for it because it's so special, but you know that word is love. This incorporates a heap of things that nurture you during your childhood and carry you through life as an adult. Caring, making sure everyone is fed, and clothed, and has the equipment they need. Support, encouragement, entertainment, tutoring, contributing financially, coaching. Nurturing, encouraging, taking on responsibilities, growing. Activities, doing wholesome things together. Attention, listening, understanding, providing constructive feedback.

Friendship

Similar to family but more lighthearted, visiting, inviting, generosity, sharing, supportive, coaching, laughing, being there in good times and bad. Play, doing things with friends and family that are interesting and fun.

Romance

Important for both singles and couples, romance is an initiation into family, it doesn't always need to go that far, but it might. By itself it is inspiring, relaxing and can take the form of a freind with benefits. A person might have several romances before moving on to a more commited relationship, although some people might not ever completely commit. It is important for couples to try to include some romance, date nights and little things into their relationship too.

Solitude

Yes it has it's place. Be there voluntarily or just because you live in a big city, the crede here is to know thyself. Solitude will make you brave, independant, possibly increase your intelligence and even make you more confident.

Work.

As most poeple spend more time at work than anywhere else, it is important to understand your values about it. Joy, try to take joy in your work, or to find something you quite enjoy. Finances, try to spend less than you earn, have a budget, emergency fund, savings and retirement account. Rythm, do your duty and everything else should fall into place. Diligence, is the mother of good fortune. Achievement, progress is much like success. The reward is in the work. Hard work pays off. Power, underpinned by reliability, talent, hard work, good pay, and a good character.

Health

Health is a pretty far reaching value, without it everything you value can be at stake. Not only that but it is not as hard as some people make it out to be. First, if you have an illness just ignore it and concentrate on healing. Second, exercise everyday. Thirdly, watch your nutrition and take some helpful supplements. Don't forget your mind, have an interesting hobby and to play some memory games. Voila!

Home.

Clean your house and tidy up. Be prepared for tomorrow and the coming week. Get your stuff organised. Everthing has its place. Be mindful of your mealtimes, sit at the table and have a conversation, try to be deep.

Beauty

Have an appreciation for nature and the arts. Surround yourself with beautiful things. Take pride in your image. Do angelic things. Be beautiful, you are awesome! Be aware of your values, what drives you and don't sweat the small stuff.

Create Your Day.

Photo by  Sedki Alimam  on  Unsplash This article is about the power of intention. Intentions are like a seed, that we sow and, later reap. Say that we set our intention, to enjoy our day. So you say to yourself, I intend to enjoy my day. I might later on do this, or that because it will help me to enjoy my day. Or, I might work in the cafe today, because it is nice weather and the time will pass by pleasantly. Or something more specific, I would really enjoy to have lunch with friends, so I arrange that. I intend for the conversation to go well, and all of us have a great time, and we do. Then, maybe a week later, I do like to dance for my exercise but I also like the luxury of the gym, it's just something that I like, so I think I will spend one evening at the gym this week. So Yay! Then suddenly I am quantum leaping, from one enjoyment to another, reaping what I sowed. And this is such a learning experience, because I am experiencing my own power, a...
