10 Attitudes for Success

Attitude is everything. Success is just a mindset. The following 10 principles will help you to believe and achieve. You will also feel happier and more fulfilled in your life. Refer back to this article whenever you have fall-back and simply get back on track! Okay, let's go!

Belief

You can if you believe you can. Have faith and believe in yourself. Be positive about yourself, try listing your strengths and achievements. Eliminate negative thinking and don't ever beat yourself up. Things sometimes happen by chance, it's not necessarily your fault when things go wrong. Keep a growth mindset and continue to learn from your mistakes.

Work

Take action. Be constructive and, be consistent.  Hard work is the proverbial philosophers stone. 'Inspiration strikes at 9 am'. (Somerset Maugham), 'Early to bed early to rise, makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise'. (English proverb). 'Work while it's day'. (Bible). 'Make hay while the sun shines'. (English proverb).

Growth mindset

Take a course of study. Practice learning from mistakes. Struggle and you will eventually get there, you can improve from day to day.  Think of it as training. Just like you train to be fit you can also train your brain to master things.

Positivity,

Try to be Optimistic, Look on the Brightside, see the glass as half full. Meditate on positive affirmations every morning. What comes out of your mouth is more important than what goes in. 'Your word is your wand'. (Florence Scovel Shinn).

Enthusiasm

Try to find your passion, do things that you love to do (at least sometimes). Be excited about things. Be activated and zealous.  If you can enjoy it then that will help you succeed.

Gratitude

Be grateful for what you have, be appreciative in your relationships. Keep a gratitude journal, every night write down five things that you are grateful for, for that day. Also add one or wo things that you learnt that day. Say Thank You to people, show them you appreciate them.

Encouragement

If possible try to hang around people with a positive attitude, who are also successful in their lives. Offer praise to the people  in your life and be supporting and encouraging. Also make your self-talk praiseful and encouraging. Coach yourself and coach others as well. Have rewards along the way.

Good Faith

There's a book called 'Learned Optimism' by Martin Seligman, where apparently some optimism is fixed into your character, but some optimism is susceptible to change, so therefore you can improve your levels of optimism and it will help you to feel happy and successful. An attitude of optimism can improve health, motivation and success! So just believe, remain hopeful and always try to see the glass as half full.

Cheerfulness

There's nothing like a good laugh to make your day. Try to have a sense of humour. Being merry is good for your heart and soul. Don't take offense of people, people are the way they are, probably they didn't even mean to offend you so be forgiving and take things on the chin. Be happy, savour those happy moments. be joyful.

Visualisation

Have strong goals and visions of what you want to achieve. Write a mission statement, imagine what you want make mind maps, create vision boards and repeat affirmations. Make plans and stick to them.

So as you can see you can change your attitude and change your life. Take things one day at a time and try your best to practice these principles for a happier and more successful life! Have a vision of what you want to achieve and consistently practice and you will get there. Deal with setbacks and learn from your mistakes. Remain cheerful and work hard in order to achieve your goals. Be flexible and make sure you look after yourself.

Create Your Day.

Photo by  Sedki Alimam  on  Unsplash This article is about the power of intention. Intentions are like a seed, that we sow and, later reap. Say that we set our intention, to enjoy our day. So you say to yourself, I intend to enjoy my day. I might later on do this, or that because it will help me to enjoy my day. Or, I might work in the cafe today, because it is nice weather and the time will pass by pleasantly. Or something more specific, I would really enjoy to have lunch with friends, so I arrange that. I intend for the conversation to go well, and all of us have a great time, and we do. Then, maybe a week later, I do like to dance for my exercise but I also like the luxury of the gym, it's just something that I like, so I think I will spend one evening at the gym this week. So Yay! Then suddenly I am quantum leaping, from one enjoyment to another, reaping what I sowed. And this is such a learning experience, because I am experiencing my own power, a...
